Intellect Noir is a diverse and interactive space where minority literature is promoted, digested, purchased, and discussed. We see literature as a way to interpret ideas, translate thoughts, connect creatives and entertain open-minds. Our vision is not only to expose more eyes to these important works, but to encourage you to share with a friend who will share with a friend. The more we lift as we climb, the more our collective culture will progress forward in a positive light.

With a spotlight on black stories, our mission is to introduce you to scenes, situations, and characters that you can identify with. Whether a nail-biting novel, satire story, historical hardcover, or meaningful memoir we want you to connect with our past through these stories. Learn about the monarchies we have inherited and malice we have overcome. Recognize what our people have accomplished, and ultimately, that you feel a deeper appreciation for who you are.
Our Story
Lorem test Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Cofounders
Unique Lawson
Unique earned her undergraduate degree in Actuary Science and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Georgia State University, in afropolitan downtown Atlanta, Georgia. An advanced learner and African American female, Unique learned at an early age that the curriculum of the mainstream education system only presented a portion of the food for thought, her intellectual appetite desired. Unique enjoys reading captivating novels and stories that use complex character layers to navigate unpredictable plots.
Joshua Brown
Joshua attended Clemson University in rural Clemson, South Carolina. A Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communication led him to a career in Graphic Design and Print Production. Joshua is a self-proclaimed anthropologist. He enjoys world history and learning about both ancient and modern cultures alike. Joshua likes to read non-fiction books, and works with cultural significance that resonate with him. “The Autobiography of Malcolm X” as told by Alex Haley is one of his favorites.
